This site sets no cookies. Not strictly necessary ones, not functional ones, not analytics or advertising ones. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
That is unusual enough to be worth explaining, and worth stating what would change it.
Why there are none
The site is static HTML, CSS and a small amount of JavaScript. It has no login, no shopping basket, no personalisation, no session state and no server-side application. None of the usual reasons to set a cookie apply.
We have also chosen not to install analytics. We would find the data mildly useful; it is not useful enough to justify tracking you for it.
What the site does store locally
Nothing. No cookies, no localStorage, no
sessionStorage, no IndexedDB, no fingerprinting. You can verify this
yourself: open your browser’s developer tools, go to the Application or
Storage tab, and look. It should be empty.
Your browser will cache the stylesheet, JavaScript and images so repeat visits are faster. That is ordinary HTTP caching, it holds no information about you, and clearing your browser cache removes it.
Third parties
Typefaces load from Google Fonts. Google does not set a cookie for a font request, but it does receive your IP address and browser information as part of serving the file. This is described in our privacy notice, and we can move the fonts onto our own domain if a client or visitor prefers.
We embed no videos, no maps, no chat widgets, no social buttons and no advertising or remarketing tags — the usual sources of third-party cookies.
If this changes
If we later add analytics or any other technology that sets cookies or stores data on your device, we will update this page and — where the law requires consent — ask for it before anything is set, with a real option to decline that does not degrade the site.
